i'm staying in chelsea atm, but on thursday we move into our cute little appartment in the east village *U*
oh new york, you are so cold and yet you do not snow. why? why???
also, i got my confirmation for the university of michigan, and i start semester in jan YAY! now i just have to arrange my flights out of the us in order to get a student visa so i can come BACK into the us D:
my 72 set arrived in the mail! salkghdglasdgjh how exciting.
tried them out.. they're.. weird O: i never really colour with markers so i kind of have to reteach myself how to blend and. stuff. getting a smooth base coat of solid colour over a large area is the real challenge.
and whilst colouring i realised that i don't have red. or black. or any greys. hm. that's unfortunate since i use those colours quite frequently and now i have to try to make my own D: red is failure being a primary and all...
anyone know how much individual markers cost in canada? might wait till i'm over there to buy what i'm missing since here they're $10 each (sob).
i'm planning on studying for 6 months in canada at the start of this coming year, and i've been trying my hardest to save up enough money.. i'm aiming for $8000AUD. so far i have a good chunk of that thanks to a scholarship and prior savings, and i've been setting myself goals along the way to eliminate that daunting 4 digit number. by the end of this month i plan on having saved $2000.. which means i have about $500 to make in 3 weeks. eek!
so i'm opening up commissions for stylized full body character illustrations, $35USD a piece:
you get 1 character, standard flat grey background (or.. white i guess?), fully rendered skin, flat coloured/textured/'invisible' clothing + max 1 prop. additional characters are available for $26USD (75%), props can be discussed.
soo much uni work at the moment.. saving for my canada trip so hopefully i'll have some time in the near future to open up commissions again, if anyone's interested
